There are two aspects to successful Internet marketing – the implementation of both a “pull” and a “push” strategy. Good search engine optimization (SEO) techniques will pull in people who are looking for specific types of products or services. A good Social Media plan will find people where they live on the social web and push them to information provided.
For major retail companies, the sophistication required to create an SEO strategy that gets them ranked above their peers, can be very complex and expensive. However, there are some basic techniques that will improve search engine ranking that are not too difficult or costly to implement. These techniques, combined with a strong social media program can dramatically improve a company’s recognition among its target audiences.
We will
- research optimal search engine keywords using keyword discovery tools,
- edit copy – integrating selected keywords,
and work with your site developers to
- include selected search terms in keywords in meta title, meta description, meta keywords, and use relevant alt tags in photos,
- optimize URL structure and content,
- create and upload an XML sitemap file, and
- submit site to major search engines.
